AGM XXIX
Our next AGM will take place at 1100 this upcoming Wednesday, 19 October at Grey’s Monument in Newcastle - or rather outside Pret a Manger nearby!

I hope you can make it.

A PERSONAL MESSAGE
Over the last two weeks or so, I’ve received a great many messages from from you wonderful truckshunters.  You have left Comments on the blog itself; you have txted me, emailed me, telephoned me and sent me many cards and letters.

I don’t know how to even begin to thank you all.  I hungrily soaked up the lovely words of sympathy and understanding that you sent me and passed them on to my family - especially to my brother Barry and Jean, his wife.

Your loving and gentle messages served as points of welcome light in the dark tunnel we were walking through and I will always be grateful to the great many of you who took the time and trouble to contact me.

Just as countless millions of other sons and daughters have had to do, so must I begin to try and knit together a new kind of life without the extraordinary and very special lady I was always proud to call my Mam.  This new path is unfamiliar to me and I know it will take me some time to get used to it.

I’d be very happy for you to keep me company along the way.

Hello, Ian
Yes I agree with you that the path will be strange at first, I remember it....just give me a shout if you ever need a hand to hold on the way. x

I'd also like to join you on that path Ian...but I'm not sure about the holding hands bit.

Ian, always remember you don't have to be alone on the path. Some of us are still making our way along it. Sometimes the path is smooth and straighforward. sometimes bumpy and difficult. Your friends are here to support you and of course there will always be that unseen hand keeping you steady. I firmly and truly believe that our loved ones walk beside us and are only a whisper away. xx

Hi Ian,

I'm sorry I missed seeing you on Wednesday. I'd kept checking in on Truckshunters to see when & where the next AGM would be held. Somehow I missed seeing your posting until late last night! I really didn't want to miss this AGM as it was your first following your Mum's passing. You need all your family & friends around you at this time. Perhaps we can have another impromptu gathering? How about meeting up at Saltwell Park next Wednesday? I would have suggested Birkheads, but it's closed for the winter season...I've just checked their website.

Lots of love,

Vivienne xxx

Thanks everyone for your continuing good wishes. They've been a very great help to me over the past month or so - and they still are.
Vivienne...yes, I'll be there. Shall we say 1100 as usual?

Yes, that's great. I hope a few other Truckshunters can be there too. xxx

Oh that's great Sid. I hoped you would be able to come. I wonder if we can get Maureen there too. It's ages since we saw her. xxx
