Glad to see you around! Mostly daily grind for me but just returned from a week on the beautiful Isle of Arran. Phil and I had to cancel plans to go there in 1982 when torrential non stop rain made us cut short our first ever camping trip near Loch Lomond. It was worth the 32 year wait! Glorious weather and breathtaking scenery, perfect for our 30th wedding anniversary.
So Ian, how are you keeping? What've you been up to? Anything to report? Adventures? Journeys? Jokes? Stories? The daily grind? Missed us?
Keeping well but still fat and grey. Had a wonderful weekend trip to the Isle of Wight for uni flatmate's 60th birthday & 30th wedding anniversary do. Met up with another after 35 years out of touch and all that had changed was hair colour. Younger son turned 18 and I went to his school prom with him - glorified school disco really but lovely. Not griding on a daily basis but whenever opportunity/necessity arises. Missed you terribly - need more frivolity.
Val... Agreed! The Isle of Arran is stunningly beautiful - and not so far away, either. I've had a couple of great holidays there and I'm glad you finally made it!
And yes, I've missed you (all) very much
Brenda... And another island visit! Yours must have been jaw-dropping, too; to catch up with someone you haven't seen in 35 years beats any experience I've had. Happy birthday to your son from all of us. And YES, a lot more frivolity is required. Any ideas?
