I’m sorry to have to tell you that Hildie’s brother Robert died yesterday (Monday) morning. Please spare a thought for her and her family over the next few days.

Hi Hildie,
I was so sorry to hear about Robert. we're thinking of you and all of the family at this very sad time.
Lots of love, Maureen
I'm sure that we are all thinking of Hildie and her family today especially, lots of love Hildie.
Ian, I thought that you might be interested in a talk to be held at Bede's World, Jarrow on September 3rd. at 7.30pm. It's called The Fascinating World of Bats and is followed by a short walk armed with bat detectors, whatever they are. Right up you street I would think!
Sorry, your street!
I hope it's okay if I ask what other Truckshunters do on a bank holiday weekend. We tend not to venture very far and let the masses have it all to themselves.
The caravan site is always very busy. Too much time is spent getting Gillian and her wheelchair out of the way of passing cars.
With a bit of luck I shall be at the allotment pulling out weeds as fast as I can, and adding some of the garden waste to my compost heap.
It has been quite a good year for vegetables. The wood pigeons, field mice and even the squirrels from the nearby park certainly think so.
If I played Radio Newcastle to these critters, which presenter would have the most success in keeping them at bay.....
I know who would keep me away Sid, but I don't think that I should mention her name! Bit chilly today isn't it? So is that it, do you reckon? Have we had our summer? I reckon an afternoon by the fire with an old cowboy film on the box sounds tempting ...
For a moment Maureen I thought your comment said 'an afternoon by the fire with an old cowboy on the box sounds tempting'.....
He he!actually that wouldn't be too bad. Who was your favourite? I used to like Cheyanne and Bronco, oooh, that Clint Walker and Ty Hardin, oh and Clint Eastwood. Wasn't he Gil Favour on Wagon Train? Can you remember when the whole family would gather round the telly to watch Bonanza? I think that it was on Saturday teatime, much better than the X Factor ... Something for everyone.
I'm sat here feeling quite smug...My desktop pc is working again, and it was me wot fixed it.
It's only taken me a couple of weeks, plus hours spent learning from the internet. It's amazing what I didn't know. Just between us few, I very nearly bought a new pc.
Oh Maureen...Wyatt Earp, The Cisco Kid...the same Indian getting knocked of his horse 5 times in 30 minutes. And then we went outside and made bows and arrows, and we still had our eyes intact at the end of the day. Mainly due to the dollops of tar on the tips of the arrows.lol.
Well done you Sid! Don't you feel so clever when you fix it yourself? That's absolutely brilliant. So now what are you going to do with the money you saved? (That's a woman's logic if you hadn't realised, I'm sure that Jean can think of something!)
Ooh, yes Wyatt Earp I'd forgotten him. I've just realised how good looking they all were, was that deliberate do you think? Something for the mothers to watch too!
I remember my brother poking sticks in melted tar, did we really get that much hot weather?
Hello ... I hope you don't mind if I try to sneak back in, as if I haven't been away. The last few weeks have been some of the worst of my life, full of my own emotional pain and that of those closest to me ... but .. you know
.... I always knew that you people were always there ... thinking of us ... and I thank you for all your caring messages.
Maureen and Sid, you know what you two have been saying about Bank Holiday weekends , and prefering to stay at home?
You know a guy named Ian Robinson?
I've heard him say exactly the same thing before now.
Hi Hildie,
It's good to have you back with us again, and we're still here for you, and thinking of you and your family.
Lots of love,

Why has no-one mentioned 'Laramie'? I can't remember the names of the two actors who took the leads but - phwoaaar! Oddly enough, Hoagy Carmichael was in it, too.
PS Mam has been quite ill over the last few days; hence the blogposting drought. There'll be a new one later, all other things being equal.
Hi Hildie and Everyone
So sorry for your loss Hildie, just to let you know im thinking of you and your family.
Also sad news about your friend Ian.
See you all next week, All being well
Ada
