SUNDAY 23 MARCH
EASTER DAY

EMERGENCY POSTING 2
Needless to say, I'm throughly ashamed of having to apologise yet again for the non-appearance of The Nightshift this morning. I have no idea what went wrong and probably won't be able to find out until Tuesday. Believe me, I feel as miffed as you do. Fingers crossed for tonight, huh?
Once again, my apologies.

Ian, there must be people all around the world wondering what's happened to you. At least us Truckshunters are being kept upto date with the developements.
Please don't beat yourself up over this, these things happen.

No Ian it can't possibly be your fault. I recall this sort of thing happening a good few years ago and it's all computerised failure.

I agree the biggest sickener here is that you've put in a load of work for us Truckshunters and the system is censoring all your good work.

Thing is now..... all pre-recorded trigger programmes have gone down, including Howes Fishing with the only one to survive being Paddy's manually triggered nightshift of Saturday morning, and had it not been for Paddy there it would have bitten the dust as well.

I have grave doubts over tonight... Monday's.... show triggering..... but at 1am, let all us truckshunters mentally think of shouting "GO" at precisely 1am.

Go is the word on the manually triggering button on the keyboard in the studio so... hey you never know.

1am....... think "GO"

Ok it's clutching at straws, but if it triggers... hey won't that be spooky.

Happy rest of Easter gang.

I'll be RIGHT HERE WAITING ......
but I am very dubious about tonight's programme too, Loz.
We could have been taking bets!

Hmm.... it didn't work did it.

Flipping 5-live again.

Ian..... don't blame yourself there's obviously a deep seated software problem here..... get the engineers onto it.

In the meantime.... whats on tv? Nowt.... whats on the radio? Nowt.... where's my CDs....

Take care all.... hope to hear you again soon Ian, but as Tuesday's show is already set in the system to trigger tomorrow, I have a nasty feeling already.

Did Heath Robinson design the software being used?

I wonder.

Good morning folks.
What's happened to the good old BBC. A program defaults several days in a row and that's it, tough.
I would wager had it been good old radio 4, then engineers would have been working night and day to get it back on air.
Well we might be local radio, but I pay the same licence fee as everybody else, and I expect better treatment than this.
Had it not been for Ian we would still be in the dark, wondering what was to happen next.
I think this deserves a letter to the top man/woman, and they will get one.
Oh, I feel much better now....
